SMART KIDZ School is an endeavor by the eBrain Educare Group to prepare leaders of the 21st century through its Education arm, eBRAIN EDUCARE (I) LiMITED. With over 5 schools across 6 cities. SMART KIDZ MODEL School is India's fastest growing network of K12 schools. eBRAIN EDUCARE (I) Limited has its preschool network SMART KIDZ FUNSKOOL with more than 25+ preschools in India and is Asia's Leading network of preschool.
SMART KIDZ MODEL School will provide a complete and unique educational experience for the child, preparing him / her for a successful life in the contemporary society. The vision of Mount Litera Zee School envisages:
The eBRAIN Olympiad is an inter-SMKMS competition in which students from all SMKMS participate to showcase their talent in various fields. This national-level competition requires students to prove their mettle in the school, zonal and national rounds. While competition encourages the spirit of excellence, we also focus on building inter-school relationships and exchange of ideas.
The Olympiad has two parts: online and on-ground. Online events like photography and short-story writing competitions allow students from various schools to display their creative side. On-ground events include sports and athletics group (cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, and athletics) and the creative group (dance competition, debate and quiz).
An important ritual in the zonal and national Olympiads is the Bonfire Night. Students, teachers and SMKMS members gather around an exciting bonfire to share stories, play fun games and bond with the SMKMS family.
SMART KIDZ MODEL School encourages students to participate in a wide-range of clubs in schools including clubs like Literary Club, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Club, Health and Wellness Club etc.
Each Club is a community where students engage in continuous learning and SMKMS supports them in finding their unique potential. Each club has activity groups, which are populated by interested members so that specific interest areas under a club can be addressed according to the number of interested students.
A majority of the club activities are aligned with the eBRAIN Olympiad so that students have a goal and timeframe in mind when they engage in club activities. Litera Clubs | Beyond Academics
At SMART KIDZ MODEL Schools, we focus on co-scholastic activities for the all-round development of students. Our emerging student profile (ESP) put equal emphasis on knowledge, life skills and values. SMKMS goes beyond academics to ensure that we provide students sufficient opportunities for achieving the ESP.
EMERGING STUDENT PROFILE (ESP) We have a vision of the child we aim to graduate and everything in our schools is designed around that vision. Emerging Student Profile (ESP) is the vision that SMART KIDZ MODEL Schools promises. Everything we do in the school strives to achieve this profile for each child. While each child will take a different path to this profile, we run the schools with the firm belief that this profile will enable our children to be leaders of the 21st century.
The ESP comprises three essential faculties: life skills, knowledge and core values.
Life Skills are critical for leading life powerfully. Our students emerge out of school with the following life skills. We build life-skills through specially-designed life skills classes, subject-integrated activities, SMART KIDZ Clubs and eBrain Olympiad.
Effective Habits: Our character is a composite of our habits. SMART KIDZ Schools have a series of programs and activity systems that build effective habits for life.
Media Literacy: Media literacy develops the ability to analyse, critique and effectively use various media to find more information and make informed decisions.
Aesthetic Sense: Aesthetic sense helps students appreciate the beauty that exists around them and enables them to contribute to it.
Metacognition: Metacognition is the skill of knowing how we learn and our unique styles of learning. This empowers us in removing the hidden barriers to our learning.
Risk Taking: This skill enables making your own decisions at the risk of making a mistake, instead of doing what you are told to by others.
Self-Development: An important goal in education is to foster self-reliance and independence. Self-development plans are used for teaching students to complete tasks independently and take an active role in monitoring and reinforcing their own behaviour.
It is a well-known fact that no two thumbprints are alike. In the same way, we believe that every child is born unique. Each child has a unique brain network that shapes how she absorbs and responds to stimuli. One way of teaching does not work for every child. We need to teach the way they learn, not force them to learn the way we teach. .
Understanding is different from acquiring information. Mere acquisition of information relies on memory, understanding relies on conceptual clarity. Schools are not assembly lines of syllabus and exams. We help children make meaning of life and develop the muscle to lead life effectively. For this, we go beyond academics to include life skills, values and habits. .
We have a vision of the child we aim to graduate and everything in our schools is designed around that vision. Building design, pedagogy, teachers, curriculum content, activities and examinations – all are integrated to achieve this vision. A school is an eco-system where different factors have an effect on the child. Teachers, curriculum, assessments, environment, infrastructure, activities all come together to nurture the unique potential of the child.
Field trips are a popular activity for all students. No matter how old they are or where they are headed, kids love to explore new places with their friends. At MLZS, we understand that any trip cannot qualify as a field trip. Good planning is necessary to ensure a successful and educationally relevant trip.
Aims and objectives of field trips are to provide experiential learning (application of principles and concepts learnt for multiple subjects), holistic development (physical, social and emotional), and to enable formative assessment.
Based on the expected learning outcomes, all outdoor activities/experiential programs are planned, designed and incorporated into the curriculum framework and lesson plans. Each school implements the outdoor activities/field trips as per their schedules. Annual outdoor activity /field trip plan is developed when the academic year commences.
